About a Week Into It

Lessons: Learned so much already. Striving for Great Usability is a challenging task. There are only a few bugs, which is great, but users have a bit of a difficult time with the extension and with getting the camera set up. Over time we will get these things right. The Extension/Reminder is the crucial element to this site.

Functionality: added gender, age and timezones to the sign-up form. Timezones were an obvious addition. gender and age are more for granularity in the browse process (not yet implemented).

Thoughts: Its clear that making this site was a good move. I love to see new pictures come in. Each one makes me so happy.

We Are Live!!! (Private Beta)

Here we are on Thanksgiving. A good day. Let me say here that I give thanks to those involved, those gave support either directly or with their patience in my absence. Daily Mugshot is live (private beta). Finally. A good day.

So Super Duper Close

Well if this was a marathon, we are definitely at the last hundred yards!! Only the tiniest details remain. Here are the functional milestones accomplished in the Last Week:

So what remains!?

• The new-user flow (aka hand-holding) is not done yet. Functionally its there but it needs to be touched up.


• The last step is moving the system to the production box. Could be really easy, could be a pain. SVN and detailed notes should both help a lot.

The Devil is in the details

Major functionality is complete, but there is still some design work, and minor functionality to wrap up.? Could happen tomorrow, could take another week.? My birthday is on the 20th.? It better be done by then!
